The Hudsonian is the exclusive student newspaper of Hudson Valley Community College.
The Hudsonian, the student newspaper of Hudson Valley Community College, received honors at the recently concluded Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Association National College Media Convention in Austin, Texas.
The paper placed ninth overall in the newly-expanded category for two-year college newspapers. There were more than 50 entries in the category. Last year, The Hudsonian placed fourth in the competition for two-year school tabloids.
It is the policy of Hudson Valley Community College, through the publication of The Hudsonian, to keep the campus informed of school and local news and events. The main objective of The Hudsonian is to inform the HVCC community and teach students how to report news and publish a newspaper, in accordance with generally accepted journalistic principles.
Any unauthorized use of the newspaper’s name and/or articles with-out permission is strictly prohibited. Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and of Hudson Valley Community College’s penal system. Additional information regarding printed material can be obtained by contacting The Hudsonian office on the second floor of the Siek Campus Center.
