Join The Hudsonian

The Hudsonian’s Editorial Board and staff meet every Monday. At any point during the academic year an election can take place to fill a vacant spot.

Each editorial position except for the Editor-In-Chief can have a Junior Editor to assist with their duties and will be trained to fill the position when the editor moves on.

The Hudsonian is currently recruiting. If you qualify or are interested in any of the positions below, contact us.

Staff Writer – The duty of a Staff Writer spans a broad spectrum of written formats including news pieces, feature articles, individual profiles, thought pieces, and reviews.

Staff Photographer – Often required to be on-site at various events or locations to take needed photographs. The primary responsibility is to capture high-quality images for various pieces of content. These could range from news events, sports activities, portraits of individuals, features, and other subjects relevant to the newspaper.

Copy Editor – The Copy Editor proofs all news, sports, features, and/or review submissions for spelling and grammar errors as indicated by the AP Style Guide, as well as verify the accuracy of any and all facts and statements included.

Junior Editors – All editorial positions have Junior positions. A Junior Editor assists and learns from a section editor.
