Two men were federally charged with armed bank robbery Feb. 26 after they allegedly stole $10,000 and injured a teller at the M&T Bank down the road from Hudson Valley Community College.

North Greenbush police responded to reports of two armed men wearing face masks while attempting to take over the bank at 313 N. Greenbush Rd., Troy.

The two suspects, however, were able to flee the scene with $10,000, prior to the police arriving around 11:30 a.m. Shots were fired by the suspects as they were leaving the bank. A female teller was grazed in the arm by a bullet.

The teller sustained no life-threatening injuries and was released shortly after treatment.

After the robbery, police received information that the suspects were at the Motel 6 on Watervliet Ave. in Albany, where they were able to arrest and charge Christopher J. Cohn and Ulysses J. Walls, both age 25, with armed bank robbery and Quardel E. Valentine, age 28, with conspiracy to commit bank robbery.

Authorities believe they have all suspects in custody.

The investigation into the bank robbery is considered ongoing and is currently being investigated by North Greenbush Police Department, the New York State Police and the FBI Albany field unit.
