Car Crashes In Ditch At Parking Lot Of Hudson Valley Community College

A white vehicle was found crashed in a ditch outside of the parking Hudson Valley Community College lot. The car’s license plate was licensed out of the state of New York. Police, firefighters and public safety came to the area following the accident.


The car was found outside the McDonough Sports Complex, was pulled out of the vehicle at around 5:30PM. Fred Alberte, the director of Public Safety said accident was unintentional.


“Somebody, accidentally, however they did it drove over the curb, knocked over the light pole and crashed into the ravine.” Alberte said. The driver was described as an “elderly woman”.


Hudson Valley’s Manager of Faculties, Lawrence Lavigne, said the woman was “shaken” but recovering and in stable position. Lavigne said he would temporarily shut down lights in the area of the parking lot to deal with the wreckage.
