Fall Out Boy has come back strong after a long break from the music world.

Fall Out Boy’s latest album is entitled “Save Rock and Roll.”

The album starts off strong with “the Phoenix,” which sends the message that Fall Out Boy is, in fact, back.

The second song on the album, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘em Up),” shows hints of the old Fall Out Boy shining through, even after their four year hiatus.

The first two songs on the album have already come out with videos that tell a somewhat bothersome story.

In the first single video, angry rap stars throw Fall Out Boy memorabilia into a fire and watch it burn.

The end of the video shows four men with bags over their heads, who resemble the four band members, tied up in the back of a van.

The second video for “the Phoenix” follows each individual band member as they walk around, each one being captured and then tortured by women similar to the ones in the first video.

The videos explain how Fall Out Boy thinks their fans have felt after four years of leaving them without any new music.

The rest of the album is extremely diverse, as some of the songs sound like the Fall Out Boy we love, and others sound extremely pop, and others are, well…unique.

The third song on the album, “Alone Together,” screams “pop” and is an easy track to become bored with.

This is followed by a more Fall Out Boy sounding song, “Where Did the Party Go.”

Next up is, “Just One Yesterday feat. Foxes,” which falls away from original Fall Out Boy sound but heads in a new direction that fans may be able to handle.

The essence is there in this song, but the original sounds are hidden.

“The Mighty Fall,” featuring Big Sean, comes out of left field.

I found myself stopping the track to make sure Fall Out Boy was still playing before returning to the mediocre new song. This song falls short on too many levels.

The following three songs of the album sound like the original Fall Out Boy fans know and love.

Following these, comes another song that falls short on the album, “Rat A Tat,” featuring Courtney Love.

While this song trumps “the Mighty Fall,” it is still no winner for this album.

“Save Rock and Roll,” the last track, throws the listener for a giant loop.

Featuring Elton John, the song is not what you would expect for a grand finale on this album.

The song attempts to do exactly what the title says, and in this unlikely match, they do it.

“Save Rock and Roll” is an album that has great high points and particularly bad low points, with some gray stuff in the middle.
