Rainbow Filled With Personality – Poem By Isabella Smarro

The simple moments between us
And the seconds of interaction on the bus Will forever cause much pain
When I’m tangled in your chains
Hours upon hours of sitting close by
The second I saw you I knew you were shy
Your silk black curls swim throughout your face
The freckles upon the skin shimmered with utter grace
Red vibrant glasses sat upon your nose Cheeks so vibrant like a newborn rose
I walked real slow towards your empty seat When you said O yes it was a lovely treat
Silence filled our bubble of mindless wonder Finding soft sand to drop the anchor
Words stuck between right and wrong
Who’s gonna prove they’re truly strong?
Without a sign the bus makes a stop I’m useless like a basement’s mop People walk on one by one
My emotions tell me I haven’t won
And to testify that a young woman stands in front I’m kicking myself to be honest and blunt
The blond tan college student waves right to us One more distraction and I’ll make a fuss
Tiptoe goes her stunning white vans She better not fall for my future hot man I close my eyes to dream her away
But sadly enough she’s here to stay
White fills my eyesight
And our future isn’t looking so bright I stopped taking that bus to school Within me I knew it wasn’t cool
Now I drive in my empty car Leaving my heart in a plastic jar Crying to the tunes of pain
I’ll never let you leave my brain
