Scholarship for Female Business Majors

A new scholarship for women in business programs has been announced by the Zonta Club of Albany.

The scholarship is called the 2013 Jane Klausman Women in Business Scholarship. It is a scholarship opportunity that is open to all women of any nationality pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s Degree in business.

The applicant must demonstrate outstanding potential in the field of study.

Candidates must be in a business related program at an accredited institution, be enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate at the time of application, demonstrate initiative, ambition, and commitment, and be living or studying in a Zonta region/district.

There are three award levels:

1. Zonta Club of Albany – a $750 cash award will be given the winning applicant. The winners of the Zonta club of Albany scholarship will then be automatically submitted to the next level.

2. Zonta International District 2 Club – a $1,000 scholarship will be given the winning applicant of the Zonta International District 2 Club. The winner is automatically submitted to the third level.

3. Zonta International – twelve $5,000 scholarships are awarded at the international level. The International Scholarship award of $5,000 may be used for tuition, books, or living expenses at any institution offering accredited business courses and degrees.
