At Hudson Valley Community College, students have a goal in campus life: to succeed in the world. Students are offered to do the work they’re supposed to study for like Math, English, Art, Science or History.

Working hard is always good for students to make accomplishments that could benefit their skills, but working hard could also affect people based on their health and their mind.

Most students at Hudson Valley Community College get so caught up in their work that they forget to take care of their bodies.

For example, students sometimes forget to eat, manage time to take a break before they’re done studying for a test or have some time to do personal things for themselves.

Luckily, Hudson Valley Community College has provided students with the chance to feel relaxed and replenished thanks to Student Activities who hold events and activities for students to enjoy and take care of themselves.

There will be events during the remaining time of the 2020 Spring Semester that will include food and refreshments for students who may need more care.

Student Activities has programs such as the Hudson Valley Community College food pantry and sock drawer, which are open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., where every month, students can collect free food and clothes to bring home and support themselves along with their families.

A student ID is required at all times and donations are always welcome.

There will also be free pizza every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in locations such as the Siek Campus Center, the Science Building and the Bulmer Telecommunications Center. The staff will offer free water and pizza to any student who would like to participate.

There will also be free cookies on April 1 at the Bulmer Telecommunications Center, and May 6 at the Science Building.

But it doesn’t stop there, as students will also have the opportunity to participate in Spring 2020 events for the remaining half of the semester. One such event is the Foosball Competition on March 12 and March 24. Student Activities also sells $5 Regal tickets every Tuesday at the Student Activities office in the Campus Center, along with tickets for the day trips.

Other than activities and events, students can have the freedom to take care of their body and themselves as much as they take care of their work. So don’t worry too much about work, learn to feel good and be responsible for yourselves.
