After a long day at work, or a school day filled with studying, there’s no better feeling than indulging in your favorite comfort food. What kinds of foods satisfy and comfort these Hudson Valley students the most?

“Probaby candy cause it has sugar in it.”

  • Lauren Church (Elementary Education)

“I’d say pizza, cheese pizza. I like to eat it when I’m stressed.”

  • Jennifer Zyniecki (Elementary Education)

“Buffalo chicken pizza. It is the best slice- or more detailed, the golden slice of pizza.”

  • Elijah Hummel (Individual Studies)

“My favorite comfort food is mac & cheese, like oven baked mac & cheese. My family usually makes it for family events so I feel like that’s why I like it.”

  • Courtney Sperry (Business Administration)

“My favorite comfort food is rice and beans. My father used to make it as a kid and it comes from my Dominican heritage.”

  • Rafael-Enrique Holguin (Business)

“Pizza, cheese or pepperoni. It’s my favorite food.”

  • Abbey Vincent (Psychology)

“ Macaroni & cheese. Aw man, you’ve gotta old school southern style casserole that with a pound and a half of Velveeta, otherwise it’s not mac & cheese. I grew up down south, and so when I moved up north, nobody made it right. My mom had to steal someones recipe when we moved. It’s hardcore, I have to make it because no one else does.”

  • Hannah Hartle (Mortuary Science)

“Oh my gosh! Probaby shrimp fried rice. I really like rice, I have an obsession with it.”

  • Mayzha Wilson (Personal Health & Wellness)

“Lasagna and ziti. I like it when my cousin makes it. I don’t know what she do to it, she ain’t tell me yet, but she do something and it’s good. My family is part Italian.”

  • Hason Scott (Psychology)

“I would say pizza. You know, your classic red sauce, with the cheese, no toppings. I don’t eat meat, so there’s no meat on my pizza. For a year I went vegan, I really missed like you’re original classic pizza. Once I transitioned over, I was just eating pizza like everyday. It’s just convenient, you know? If you’re having a whole group of friends over just order a pizza and some wings and there you go.”
