Question: If you could go somewhere for an entire week, where would you go and what would you do?

Lead: HVCC students are feeling the icicles forming on the tip of their nose and are looking for a way out of New York. Still, others say they would rather stay local, even catch up on homework.

Jacob Dellert, a liberal arts and human sciences major, said, “I would go to my Uncle’s house [in Massachusetts with my brother and father], I only see him once a year,” he said “We’d watch television and watch some sports.”

Mike Poole, broadcasting and announcing major, is ready to go down south as far as South Carolina for a vacation to get away from the cold. “Every summer I go down there, to Myrtle Beach” he said. “Our routine is to get our beach house then go out to eat for dinner, we’d come back but we don’t have any planned activities, but the view is beautiful.”

Jake Hayes, majoring in nursing, is interested in going to Florida. “I’d go to the beach because it’s been very cold outside and hate how the weather has been,” he said. “My brother has moved down there recently and I would love to go surfboarding.”

Caroline Cater, a psychology major, is interested in going down south. “I probably go somewhere warmer with a beach, cause it’s cold here.” She said “I went to Florida before for cheer, where we practiced and cheered. However, if I wasn’t there for cheering, I’d probably go down and shop because they have a wide variety of stores there.”

Logan Bashaw, majoring in communication and media, said “I’d probably go to Germany. I’ve already been once and I really liked it. I enjoyed traveling on the train seeing the different cities.”

Ashley Colvin, a nursing major, said, “I’d probably go see my brother, but I’d go to a beach definitely get out there where it’s warmer.”

Mikayla Holden, a paramedics major, said, “I’d go to Italy. Somewhere with a beach where it’s warm outside.”

Asuan Farrell majoring in exercise science, doesn’t want to go outside in the warm air, as a good student, he answered “I’d stay home and catch up on work. If I were to try take a vacation, maybe I’d go to Florida. But I do enjoy staying at home.”
