Warped Tour’s time is finally up. After 23 years of amazing music, including alternative pop, punk rock, metal and more, the cross-country tour has come to an end. Warped Tour brought life to groups such as My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, and Blink-182, and these groups brought joy to people who were able to listen to their music.

Being a part of Warped Tour for one of their last runs has been the experience of a lifetime. Groups played that may never play together again, and groups that are not yet known, but may one day be stars, closed Warped Tour for good. This was all that people could ask for, it was the epitome of Warped Tours from years past. Bowling for Soup, 3OH!3, We the Kings, The Maine, Sense Fail, and so many more bands were able to perform their music, and connect with their audience.

The groups constantly worked to create an environment where concert goers could be themselves, and furthermore, have an enjoyment of the music. Groups who played at Warped Tour became a huge success by their stage performance. The groups would not just interact with the audience, but would also entertain their fans by interacting with the other stages while performing.

Warped Tour has not just been a place for groups to perform and entertain, but a place where people could go wild listening to their favorite bands that others would enjoy. This has its ups and its downs. If you have ever been to a concert with a mosh pit, you know that people who mosh will let it all out in the pit. Walking in the pit is saying that you are ready to be hit, rammed or kicked in the head from all the crowd surfers.

It was no different this year. Everyone was trying to get in their last experience moshing or crowd surfing. Seeing the last Warped Tour was disheartening, but exhilarating. For a majority of the people who came, knowing it was the last warped tour, many were trying to mosh or crowd surf for that one last time. But the feeling of seeing people mosh and having fun like they would always be able to do it makes you want to join in.

Seeing metal groups such as Ice Nine Kills, Every Time I Die, Nekrogoblikon and many others is an experience like no other. All of the groups, trying to leave the best impression they could, rocked warped tour unparalleled and to their ultimate ability.

Even though Warped Tour has finished, it does not mean that something just as amazing will not be able to take its place in the years to come. After 23 years, Warped Tour has not just ended, but left a spark inside everyone’s heart who has ever gone. That spark may be something small like supporting a rising or new band or musician, but the sparks will lead to another fire as big as Warped Tour once was for people who enjoy alternative music.
