Eight Week College Courses

Interested in completing an entire semester’s course work in half the time?

Hudson Valley is accepting applications for late Sprint Classes, which begin on March 18 and run until May 10. Tuition is due by March 12.

Sprint Classes are fast paced, compressed versions of semester long, 16 week courses, which meet for 8 weeks instead, and many of which are online.

Online courses include classes in Accounting, Business Administration, College Forum, Criminal Justice, Education, English, Health, Human Services, Fine Arts, Individual Studies, Marketing, Physics, Political Science, Public Administration, and Sociology.

On campus courses include classes in Electrical Construction and Maintenance, Paramedics, Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Western Civilization, First Aid, Human Services, Television Production, Mathematics, Beginning Golf, Weight Training, Psychology, and Sociology.

A two credit First Aid course meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. and fulfills the physical education credits required of many students.

As an added incentive, upon completion of the course, students receive a Red Cross certification in both first aid and adult CPR.

It should be noted, however, that these classes are not for the faint of heart. They are designed for committed, motivated students who are willing to put in the effort needed to complete a full course in only half the time.
