Students and faculty flocked to Joe Bruno Stadium to enjoy activities, food, music, and entertainment for the annual Fall Festival.

“I think events like this are a great way to make new friends. We even get to connect with the faculty by playing baseball with them. It’s amazing and fun and a great way for students to get together,” said engineering student, Joon James.

The annual Fall Fest took place on October 4 at the Joe Bruno Stadium, where it is held every year on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. The event is notable for its free music, food, and entertainment. There were also a number of activities for students to enjoy.

Who wouldn’t want to spend a break between class enjoying some free food with fellow students?

If that’s not enough to pull you in, the Viking Cup Challenge surely drew in a number of curious students. The baseball game, between students and faculty, began at noon. All the participants got jerseys and a trophy was even offered to the winning team.

A similar opinion was shared between students: Fall Fest is a great way to connect everyone with each other, but there should be more promotion of the event because most students are unaware.

“Events like these are really fun to go to, but only if you have time for it,” said Laura Simpson, a humanities major.

The events that take place are usually in the middle of the day, so it can be hard for students to attend. And since it only occurs on one day of the week, there’s a much smaller chance that students are able attend.

“This event is pretty cool and I’d like to see more of them, I just wish that they promoted them more. I didn’t know about Fall Fest until today, so they should maybe advertise it more on the school’s website,” physical education student Noah Westfall agrees.

“I’m not going to lie, these events are really cool. I didn’t really know about them and I didn’t really know what was going to be here, so I just had to show up to see,” said Adam Duileski, business administration major.

The lack of promotion would explain why there wasn’t many people attending the event. However, everyone who showed up had fun, especially those who participated in the baseball game.

“These events are pretty cool,” said Isaac Robertson, in the engineering program. He joked, suggesting that they should have “beer at the drink table for the athletes who won.”

Fall Fest is an event which brings students and faculty together and connects students with each other, and according to students, is a great way to make friends and bond over fun activities like free food, sports and music.

The only thing students expressed a downside to was the lack of promotion and advertisement, making most unaware of the event.

Additionally, students want the event to be held on more than one day of the week, and at more convenient times, so as many students as possible can enjoy the activities.
