“Zombieland Double Tap” is a post-apocalyptic zombie comedy starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia, Rosario Dawson, Luke Wilson, Thomas Middleditch and Bill Murray.

Ten years after the zombie outbreak from the mad cow disease that turned people into the living dead, the gang, Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock, are back and ready to bring more zombie killing action to the big screen.

After they find a new home at the White House, Little Rock runs off and the rest of the gang go out on a search to find her, facing more survivors and evolved zombies along the way.

“Zombieland Double Tap” is a fun, action-packed zombie comedy that will entertain audiences and critics alike. The actors returning for the roles as our lead protagonists did not disappoint due to their acting and character development.

The more entertaining moments in the film centered around the way the main characters treat each other as a dysfunctional family. They fight, they argue and they bicker, but they fight together and live together to survive the zombie apocalypse.

The acting from our guest actors was very solid too. Zoey Deutch as Madison, and Avan Jogia as Berkeley, play their parts extremely well and are considered the funniest characters in the movie. Not only did they have good jokes, but they were also very good at expressing physical comedy, which is extremely rare for comedy films released today.

Luke Wilson and Thomas Middleditch as Albuquerque and Flagstaff play the different versions of Columbus and Tallahassee very well. We also see Rosario Dawson as Nevada who plays a tough, Elvis-loving zombie killer. Dawson was a great edition to the cast in this film mainly because of her acting as an intimidating killer, a fleshed out character and the way she slays the rotting corpses in zombieland.

However, there were some flaws with “Zombieland Double Tap.” The main one was that there wasn’t much different from the original. The story still follows along with the characters we know bonding as a family and the film was basically being treated as a road trip movie with zombies.

However, sometimes that could be a good thing. “Zombieland Double Tap” had the right amount of zombie violence, comedy, and heart from the characters, which is what makes this film succeed as it does, and it’s something that zombie fans have wanted for a while.

For years, people have watched either remakes of classic zombie films or films about zombies being involved in another story or historical events. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn’t. This film may be the same as the original, but it’s the kind of movie that proves that zombie films can be original and entertain viewers, all while still being faithful to the original.

“Zombieland Double Tap” is a fun, action-packed and heartwarming zombie action comedy that will both entertain and please audiences. This film may have did what the original did, but as a comedy horror film, it still works as a good film and it’s worth the wait, the hype and the time to go check it out. Final review 8.5/10.
